Beneath a Rose Sun
A series of watercolours inspired by the rosy summer sunsets of British Columbia in the summer, when the mists tint the setting sun. Created whilst cruising Desolation Sound and Telegraph Coves in the summers of 2018 and 2019.
The use of a limited palette of muted pinks and greens creates a harmonious, gentle colour scheme full of soft neutrals, enlivened by pops of pink. These gentle, soothing shades are beautiful in a child’s bedroom, nursery or playroom.
The images are inspired by the incredible wildlife of British Columbia, and explore themes of connection and family in nature.
