Andrea England- An Artist Afloat
Water holds an enormous fascination for me. I can spend hours watching how it flows and changes colour, pondering what wonders swim in its hidden depths. It's probably no surprise that I'm drawn to paint in watercolour, which combines glorious colour with the mercurial nature of the sea.
My studio and home is Island Prism, a 36' sailboat. She's carried my husband Jim and I across oceans, from New Zealand to South East Asia and across the Pacific Ocean. Our cruising ground is now British Columbia, where the beautiful coastlines and magnificent wildlife of the Pacific Northwest provide endless inspiration for my brushes. |
