'Electric Blues' 11" x 14" Original Watercolour Painting
Because sometimes blue is a happy feeling.
‘Electric Blues’ plays with the gorgeous blue waters off the white shell beaches that fringe the Salish Sea. Built up over thousands of years from shells discarded by native inhabitants, the beaches reflect the light on a summer’s day, turning the shallows glorious shades of turquoise that contrast with the royal blue depths.
'Electric Blues' is part of the Salt and Driftwood collection. This particular white shell beach is on the West Coast of Portland Island in British Columbia, and was a wonderful place for some plein air painting. The plein air watercolour that inspired this painting can be found in the Salish Sea collection.
