At Race Rocks in the Juan de Fuca Straight, nature holds sway. The colony of Steller's sea lions relax on an islet, whilst the lighthouse warns humans to keep away from this maelstrom of swirling currents and submerged rocks.


This 14" x 11" watercolour is inspired by sketches and photos from our (very careful) sailing adventures out to this incredible ecological reserve, which is also home to harbour seals, bald eagles, gulls and cormorants.
