Chrome Island stands at the entrance to Bayne Sound, between Denman and Vancouver Islands. It's usually a tranquil spot, but winter storms and Qualicum winds can whip the sea into a fury. The lighthouse stands strong regardless.


'Sentinel' is a 14" x 11" original watercolour. The paints used include pigments ground from genuine amethyst, garnet and kyanite, giving a subtle shine to the mountains and ocean.
